Job description

Job Title: Primary Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, West Thurrock

Primary Industry:

Salary:

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

- Provide tailored educational support to primary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

- Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities

- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in line with the national curriculum

- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed

- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development

- Maintain accurate records of student performance and achievements

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant degree in Education or Special Educational Needs

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Experience working with children with SEN

- Knowledge of SEN legal frameworks and best practises

Education:

- Degree in Education or Special Educational Needs

Experience:

- Previous experience working with primary school students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of SEN teaching methods and strategies

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student needs

- Proficient in assessing student progress and development

Preferred Qualifications:

- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs

Working Conditions:

- Part-time hours - Temporary position - Work location in West Thurrock, Essex - Collaborative work environment with teachers, parents, and professionals in the education sector

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
