Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced SEN Tutor to join our team in Crowthorne. As an SEN Tutor, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support and guidance to students with SEN, helping them excel academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the unique needs of each student with SEN.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans that address specific challenges and strengths.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
  • Regularly assess student progress, making adjustments to teaching strategies to maximize learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters confidence and independence.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SEN education and teaching techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or related fields.
  • Prior experience working with students with SEN is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping students overcome challenges.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in teaching approaches.

Working Hours:

This position offers flexible working hours, with tutoring sessions typically scheduled after school or on weekends to accommodate students' availability.

Salary:

The salary for this position ranges from £20 to £25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
