LAC Tutor

  1. Tutor/Intervention
  2. Essex
Date posted : 08/05/24
  1. Flexible Working
£20 - 30 per hour

Job description

I am looking for 1:1 tutors in Orsett (Essex)  and surrounding areas, to support young people with English, Maths and Science. We welcome experienced educators from both Primary and Secondary backgrounds!

At TP Tutors, we understand that the classroom is becoming less and less desirable as a learning environment…

  • Unbalanced Ratios: The classroom set up of 30 students to 1 teacher, makes it extremely challenging to balance the learning needs of all the young people – and this is even without considering SEN, SEMH and challenging behaviour.
  • Workload: Being a classroom teacher comes with the responsibility of completing paperwork for 30 students, on top of all your other duties.
  • Long working hours: While the school day seems appealing, a lot of teachers are faced with staying late, or taking their work home.

We find that for teachers falling out of love with the classroom, but still have the passion to teach and support young people, tuition works best!

  • Our roles are on a 1:1 basis: This gives you and the student, to build a great rapport and working relationship. This gives you the opportunity to fully gauge their learning levels and needs, so that you can tailor work specific to them. This set up also means you can make a real difference in their learning journey. Benefitting you and the learner!
  • We keep things simple at TP! We have a bespoke learning platform called LEAP, where after every session our tutors complete a session report.
  • Our tuition roles are flexible, we have tutors doing part time and full-time hours, its all dependent on your schedule and commitments as we can work around these! You can accept as much and as little work as you want.
