We are looking for a part time Food Tech Teacher to join a wonderful school in Stoke Poges in September.

The school uses cutting-edge educational methods such as Self-Directed Learning.

What the school are looking for:

Food and Nutrition teacher to join our on a part-time (0.6 FTE) permanent basis or Temporary to Permanent basis. The position is to support students across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and will include Chef Skills. You will be adept at coaching our students to see and lead through challenges in their learning, so they make the best possible progress in each and every lesson.

You will:

  • Respect and promote the schools Ethos and Values
  • Have Qualified Teacher Status and a degree or similar food related qualification
  • Possess recent experience of teaching Food and Nutrition to KS3-KS5 students
  • Knowledge of GCSE/A Level Food Preparation and Nutrition exam specifications
  • Be able to teach chef/culinary skills to post 16 students.
  • Have a diverse set of skills which will enable you to be flexible working in the classroom and our modern learning centre
  • Be able to work creatively and strategically in an 'all-through' school
  • Be an innovative and reflective practitioner who is keen to learn
  • Committed to improving the life chances of every child
