North Derbyshire secondary school looking to bring on Maths Teacher.

A secondary school in the High peak District are seeking to hire a Maths teacher on a full-time, permanent basis. The role will be commencing in the new academic year.  

The successful candidate will work to a timetable teaching maths to classes in years 7-11, introducing younger students to new concepts whilst simultaneously guiding GCSE students to achieve their academic potential. The new maths teacher will be expected to carry out full departmental responsibilities as part of the role such as lesson planning, marking, engaging fully in staff meetings and liaising with parents/ carers/ guardians.

Candidate requirements for this position:

• Qualified Teacher Status in the UK (QTS)
• Experience teaching maths up to KS4/ GCSE level in UK secondary schools
• Experience carrying out full departmental responsibilities as part of a teaching role
• School based references with no safeguarding or disciplinary concerns
• Child workforce DBS certificate on the update service/ eligibility to apply

The school itself is based in North Derbyshire and is rated ‘Good’ by recent Ofsted inspections. The school are pleased with their achievements and are looking to further excel the schools achievements, popularity and student attainment. The maths department looking to add are a small but strong group of specialist ready to welcome a new addition and support them in their transition into life teaching at the school.
