Mental Health Support Worker - Scarborough

Job Role:

To work within Special Needs Schools and alternative provisions, supporting the education of students with mental health needs. Establishing strong relationships with staff and colleagues alike. Updating family members and case workers on pupil progress; social and academic development.

The ideal candidate:

  • Have experience dealing with challenging behaviour linked to a mental health diagnosis
  • Background experience of working with pupils who have been excluded, or are at risk of exclusion
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
  • Follow a positive behaviour policy and encourage a safe learning environment
