Do you have a passion for Maths and understand the importance of children achieving well in Maths for their future?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a large secondary school in the south Manchester area to source a Maths teaching assistant for the remainder of this academic year. Ideally starting as soon as possible on a full time basis (Monday-Friday until 3:30pm), this is an excellent opportunity working as a Maths teaching assistant, supporting teachers in the department and tutoring children 1:1 and in small groups with areas of Maths they require extra support. Previous experience as a teaching assistant in a classroom isn't essential but desirable, you must have some exposure to working with children or tutoring Maths (GCSE exam papers) or similar.

  • Maths teaching assistant, full time position starting ASAP
  • Supportive school situated in south Manchester (M23)
  • Working with small groups and tutoring Maths to individuals (Year 10/11)
  • IDEAL for aspiring Maths teachers, PGCE applicants of the future
  • Earn up to £65 per day on a long term basis (July 2018)
  • Supportive Maths faculty offering daily support and training opportunities

Situated in south Manchester, this is a large mixed 11-16 secondary school with modern facilities and a dedicated team of teachers. The role of Maths teaching assistant will be to provide in class, lesson support to small groups and alleviate pressure on class teachers. Over time and closer to the exams you will tutor children 1:1 in Maths and plan your own activities to help children reach their potential and be ready for the GCSE exams in the summer term.
