Maths Teacher - Tameside

  • Full time Maths teaching post from September.
  • Pay ranging form £95-£160 per day.
  • Opportunity to work within a supportive and forward thinking Maths department.

Large Academy School in Tameside a Maths teacher to commence a long term Maths teaching post in September 2017. This is a full time Maths teaching post delivering across KS3, GCSE with opportunities to teach A Level Mathematics if requested.

This diverse secondary school are looking for an inspirational Mathematician who will add to an already improving Maths department where there will be an expectation to regularly plan and mark your work. With over 1300 pupils on roll this Academy offers an exciting opportunity to gain a full time Maths teaching position initially on a temporary basis to the end of the academic year. T

Modern teaching aids in this outstanding new build provide an excellent platform for good teaching practice and enhancing students learning experience of Maths. Currently the school achieves just below national averages with 51% of students achieving at least 5 A*-C grades including Maths and English.

Situated in the OL6 post code of Tameside the school is located just off the A627 and has direct bus routes to the school. The senior leadership team provide regular CPD opportunities as they believe in internal promotions for career progression.

**Working within a large supportive Maths department

High levels of pupil premium and students using English as an additional language will be present at this school. A gap remains between the attainment and progress of disadvantaged students and non disadvantaged students in Mathematics so you will need to be able to engage learners of all abilities. The school are looking to see candidates in the next couple of weeks so you must attend interviews to be successful. Suitable teaching references and a fully enhanced DBS will be a requirement for this position as well as QTS in the UK.
