This vacancy, to be filled through Teaching Personnel, is to provide general classroom support in a Darwen primary school following the October half-term holiday. The class in which the successful candidate will be based is Year 3, where excellent behaviour management is essential. The role is determined by the local authority funding; accordingly the school have the option to cut the temporary role if the funding is cut for any reason. In spite of this, the expectation for this role will be that the successful candidate works through Teaching Personnel on a temporary supply basis and then transitions on to a permanent school contract.

If you are interested in this role then you can check over the pre-requisites in order to ascertain your suitability:

- Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification

- Recent experience in Year 2 or lower Key Stage 2

- Proactive and able to lead with use of your own initiative

- Strong team work skills in order to work closely alongside the Class Teacher

- Available to work from 28th October 2019, five days a week (25-30 hours a week)
