Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a 'Good' school in the Bolton area. This is a wonderful opportunity for a graduate who is looking to gain experience within a secondary school environment in September.

The role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant is the perfect preparation for anybody that is looking to do there PGCE in the future. Not only will it prepare you for the teacher training course but it will also give you the opportunity to work within a secondary school environment giving you the tools necessary to become an 'Outstanding' teacher in the future.

• Full time Graduate Teaching Assistant - September 2018
• Working within an supportive school - Rated 'good' across the board by Ofsted
• You can expect to earn £1000-1200 per month
• Gain invaluable experience prior to starting PGCE

Our client school that is based in Bolton and are looking to start the interview process for the Graduate Teaching Assistant role in the coming weeks. The successful candidate will be employed on a 12 month contract initially however there will be a view to be employed permanently following this period.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant will gain experience working alongside class teachers in a number of areas (especially Maths, English and Science). The school are offering full support to the Graduate Teaching Assistant from senior members of staff and there will be opportunities available to develop key skills which will be useful throughout future teacher training programmes.

• You will be assisting the teacher in class helping them manage behaviour of students
• Covering lessons with pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher
• You will lead small intervention sessions with students that are behind in work.
• Working alongside pupils on 1:1 basis

The school has a sixth form on campus and is larger than the average high school with around 1800 pupils on roll. In their most recent Ofsted inspection the school was rated 'Good' across the board. The school is located in Bolton and can easily be accessed via the M61 motorway. Public transport links are easily accessible via the surrounding areas of Wigan, Chorley, Preston, Bury and Salford.
