Job Title: English and Media Studies Teacher (Secondary School)

Salary: £30,000 to £46,525 (MPS/UPS)

Start Date: September 2024

Are you a dedicated and passionate English and Media Studies teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity in a supportive educational environment? We are looking for a English and Media Studies teacher to join one of our client secondary schools in the Andover area of Hampshire. This position is on a permanent basis, meaning that the successful educator will be salaried directly through the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English & Media lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Foster a love for English as well as Media in students, encouraging critical thinking and creativity.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to support their academic development.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.

Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, clubs, or events.

Uphold the school's policies and procedures, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English/Media or related field.

Proven experience teaching English/Media at secondary school level.

Strong knowledge of the English/Media curriculum and assessment methods.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
