Exam Invigilator
Location: East Cornwall
Salary: £54.00/£65.00 per day
Employment Type: Permanent (Fixed Term Contract 1 x Year)
About the role
Teaching Personnel are working with a number of Secondary schools within the County. Our client Secondary schools have a high volume of mock examinations coming up in the next few months. Temporary Examination Invigilators are required to work across Cornwall during the Autumn/Winter terms.
- Graduates, Invigilators and aspiring teachers are welcome to apply
- Working on a temporary, flexible basis throughout the spring and summer terms
- Supporting students with reading
- Ensuring students follow examination rules
- Giving out and collecting apparatus
- Competitive hourly rates of pay
- Work around availability
It is essential that the incoming team of examination invigilators have previous experience within an educational setting and can support pupils who require additional guidance when reading exam questions. Invigilators will work on a flexible, temporary basis and be expected to have excellent punctuality and conduct.
The schools that require Invigilators across Cornwall range from mixed comprehensive and academies. As any school setting, there are a number of stringent rules that must be followed by Invigilators and pupils alike. It is essential that Invigilators have prior knowledge of examination rules.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
