Behaviour Support

On behalf of our client school we are currently seeking 2 Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants to join at the school in April, working on a full time basis assisting in the mentoring and development of 2 students who are on the verge of being permanently excluded from mainstream education.

This is a very rewarding role and requires a very resilient individual with exceptional interpersonal skills. Previous experience as a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant in a secondary school environment would be preferred, however we would consider applications from individuals with similar work experience, such as working for any outreach programmes or similar support based roles assisting troubled individuals in the community, or working with people who show antisocial behaviour.

Job highlights as a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant in Oldham:

• Supporting pupils and helping them develop solutions to any behavioural issues they may have, through 1:1 assistance as well as group work within and outside of the classroom
• Monitoring and tracking behaviour and progress of pupils, feeding back to teachers, SENCO as well as parents to help develop future plans
• Developing innovative techniques to encourage greater participation within classrooms, helping to improve behaviour in and outside of class
