Job description

A primary school in the Longsight area of Manchester (M12) are looking for Behaviour Support Assistant to work with children on a 1:1 basis across the school. The children that the successful applicant will be working with have Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and require consistent support. The primary school aims to provide a warm and nurturing environment to all its pupils as well as to provide the guidance and support which enables children to build confidence, self-esteem, independence, tolerance and respect for others. The Behaviour Support Assistant position will start ASAP and will run for the rest of the academic year.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a primary school environment and will have experience supporting children with specific needs. Previous experience working with EBD would be beneficial but isn't essential. The successful candidate will work closely with the schools SENCO, class teachers and parents to ensure the children get the neccessary support at all times.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
