Behaviour Support – 1:1 Role for Sports or Psychology Graduates
Location: Bridgend, CF35
Pay: From £13.75/hour or £89.38/day
Hours: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm
Are you a recent Sports Science or Psychology graduate looking to kickstart a career in education? Do you have a passion for supporting young people with behavioural needs? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a local behaviour provision in Bridgend.
We’re recruiting for an enthusiastic and reliable 1:1 Behaviour Support Mentor to work with pupils who benefit from tailored, positive guidance in and out of the classroom. You'll help build their confidence, support their emotional growth, and promote learning through structured behaviour strategies and physical activity.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Providing 1:1 support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
-
Using sport and movement to help students re-focus and develop life skills
-
Assisting students during classroom tasks and social activities
-
Supporting off-site activities to promote independence and confidence
-
Building strong, consistent relationships as a trusted mentor
What You’ll Need:
-
Background in Sport Science, Coaching, Psychology, or related field
-
A proactive and patient mindset with a genuine interest in youth development
-
Any experience or training in behaviour support is highly desirable
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
-
EWC (Education Workforce Council) registration – guidance available
