We are currently working with a specialist co-educational school for children and young people with autism and additional complex needs, age 3 –19 years. The school are experienced and successful in meeting the needs of students with wide-ranging strengths and needs, providing a nurturing environment where students are able to thrive and grow in independence and self-esteem.
We are seeking to appoint a Behaviour Support Mentor to work with our Secondary students.
The role of a Behaviour Support Mentor is to support the learning process. Primarily this includes working with individuals and/or small groups to resolve difficulties causing concern as quickly as possible so as to promote learning at all times, working with teachers to ensure and promote effective behaviour support throughout the school for all pupils to improve learning outcomes, providing support daily to pupils to promote good behaviour for learning. You will also be required to supervise lunch and break duties.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate and ambitious with a drive and commitment to improve the life chances of our young people. You will have a dynamic, exceptional and creative approach to improving the teaching and learning in a way that benefits all children.
