Safeguarding at Teaching Personnel: Embedding a Culture of Safety
At Teaching Personnel, safeguarding isn’t just a policy - it’s the foundation of everything we do. As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, I’m responsible for ensuring that we embed a culture of “it could happen here” across our organisation. This means that safeguarding isn’t seen as the responsibility of a few designated staff, but as something that every single person plays a role in.
Safeguarding training for everyone
Whether it’s a Recruitment Consultant supporting schools day-to-day, or a Senior Manager shaping strategy, every member of our team receives safeguarding training that is relevant to their role. This ensures that knowledge and awareness run right through our organisation, from the very first point of contact to the ongoing support we provide.
Preparing educators before they step into schools
We know how important it is that the educators we work with are fully prepared to uphold the highest standards of safeguarding. That’s why we’ve developed a robust onboarding training programme for every educator who registers with us. Before stepping foot in a classroom, they receive the knowledge and guidance they need to recognise concerns, respond appropriately, and prioritise pupil welfare. Our programme goes above and beyond safeguarding training, it includes modules around best practice, maintaining professional boundaries, the importance of following the school’s policies and procedures, reasonable force, and tips for a successful placement.
A shared commitment to children’s safety
Safeguarding at Teaching Personnel is about more than meeting statutory requirements - it’s about working together, doing things properly, and putting children first. Our goal is simple: to make sure every child we help to support in schools is safe, valued, and given the best possible opportunity to thrive.
