Pastoral Support – Secondary Schools (Northamptonshire)

Location: Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough, Rushden, Raunds & Northampton
Pay: £100 – £150 per day
Contract: Flexible, Monday to Friday
Pay Frequency: Weekly

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Pastoral Support staff to work across a range of secondary schools in Northamptonshire.

This role is ideal for degree-level educators, graduates, or individuals with a strong interest in student wellbeing, behaviour support, and inclusion within secondary education.

The Role:

As a Pastoral Support worker, you will:

  • Support students with behaviour, attendance, and engagement

  • Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support

  • Help students regulate emotions and overcome barriers to learning

  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment

We’re Looking For:

  • Educated to degree level (any subject considered)

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach

  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively

  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
