Reception Class Teacher – Maternity Cover (Independent Preparatory School)
An independent school in Northamptonshire is seeking a dedicated and experienced Reception Class Teacher to join its Preparatory Division on a full-time, fixed-term maternity cover basis.
Set within extensive grounds on the outskirts of Northampton, the school offers a warm, welcoming environment where pupils are well-mannered, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of the Preparatory School, the successful candidate will be a creative, enthusiastic, and inspirational teacher who can deliver engaging teaching within the Reception class.
You will:

Take responsibility for the teaching, learning, and progress of pupils within your class

Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with EYFS expectations

Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

Contribute to the school’s strong pastoral ethos

Work collaboratively within a supportive and friendly staff team
The school is looking for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about early years education and willing to contribute to the wider life of the school, including co-curricular activities.
This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
