A mixed comprehensive secondary school located towards the north of Bury town centre is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Art and Design (with Photography experience) to join their welcoming staff team from January 2020 or earlier.

  • Full time Teacher of Art and Design required from January 2020. An earlier start could also be considered for the successful candidate.
  • Must hold QTS alongside a relevant degree level qualification within any of the following disciplines; Fine Art, Art, Textiles or Photography.
  • Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school.
  • Excellent location, easily accessible via the M61.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £24,373 - £40,490.

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons designed to foster a passion for the subject and develop skills pupils require to progress.
  • Organising and setting up equipment and materials for practical lessons.
  • Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in line with monitoring, maintaining resources and equipment ensuring it meets all relevant requirements
  • Operate and order materials, preparation and labelling of equipment and facilitate exhibition work.

Located towards the north of Bury town centre this oversubscribed secondary school can be accessed via the M6^ and the surrounding areas; Bolton, Salford and Wigan. The school can also be accessed through various public transport options with links across Greater Manchester.
