Part-Time Teaching Assistant – Princetown/Tavistock Area
15 hours per week | FTE: £23,555
Fixed Term until July 2026 | Start Date: 3rd September 2025

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school setting in the Princetown/Tavistock area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom while developing your skills within a friendly and nurturing environment.
About the role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning and development. This may include:

Providing 1:1 or small group support
-
Helping to prepare learning materials
-
Supporting pupils with additional needs
-
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
-
Assisting in the assessment and tracking of pupil progress
-
Contributing to the wider life of the school community
The successful candidate will:

Work well both independently and as part of a team

This is a fixed-term position until July 2026, with the potential to become a permanent role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
