Youth Worker Required for Garston School
Are you looking for a position where you are given the opportunity to manage young people’s academic progress?
Do you have youth work experience? Do you want to positively influence the lives of young people?
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a pupil referral unit in Garston. This Garston school is seeking to recruit youth workers to help support pupils who have been excluded or at risk of exclusion from school. The school believe youth workers have the engaging personality to help support these young people who (as a result of individual barriers) are not able to work in a classroom with other children. In this role the youth worker will be expected to work both in school and around the local community to provide personalised support for the young people.
The ideal youth worker for this role will have a background in youth work and will therefore have the knowledge and ability to manage challenging behaviour in a way which still produces positive outcomes. Having a relevant qualification such as a youth and community work degree will also enhance your application.
The pay rate for this role is £66.30 to £75.
