- Temporary to permanent option available
A school in the heart of Wallasey, Wirral have approached Teaching Personnel in Liverpool in order to source, shortlist and appoint a Year 5 experienced Primary Teacher. The applying candidates must have QTS and recent experience in KS2. It is also important that you are able to evidence using a range of behaviour strategies and raise standards in a primary classroom.
The school who require the Year 5 teacher are currently improving as a school and have recently received GOOD by Ofsted in 2017. The school has a challenging catchment area and is noted as a ‘vulnerable’ school by the LEA and has some of the most challenging children attending school. There is also a transient population within the area who ‘come and go’ as their lifestyles change on a regular basis, which also influences behaviour and standards within school.
The head teacher has been in post for over two years and possesses a commitment to the children in her care; ensuring they are safe; they learn to their potential and they are given every opportunity to grow in confidence and socially. She is keen to break down barriers in learning, barriers such as ‘challenging backgrounds’, children from ‘socially deprived backgrounds’ and other children who do not speak ‘English as their First Language’. The school is a faith school but it is not a necessity to be affiliated with a church to be considered/successful in this role. The Head teacher is also keen to see applying CVs and then arrange for an interview and trial lesson in preparation for the September start.
If you are interested then please do not hesitate to contact me on 0151 244 5430 for more information. Equally so, you can send through up to date CVs to helen.jones@teachingpersonnel.com. The school will be looking to short list in the two weeks after Easter so please do not hesitate to contact me in the office, alternatively you can register your details on our website www.teachingpersonnel.com
