Year 2 Class Teacher in Leeds LS14- September 2020 start
Role
Teaching Personnel are looking for a Fully Qualified or Newly Qualified Teacher for a full-time teaching post starting in the new academic year (September 2020). The school is located in Leeds (LS14) just 10 minutes away from the Leeds City Centre. Public transport route are also easily accessible to the school. The school have previously achieved above 60% in the 2019 SATs and are looking for a Year 2 Teacher who can support under achieving pupils in KS1 during the preparation for the SATs in 2021.
Ideal candidate
The school are looking for Teacher who is:
- Fully qualified or Newly qualified teacher who has previous teaching experience in KS1
- SATs experience (not compulsory)
- Phonics screening and testing experience (Read Write Inc)
- Available full-time and seeking a permanent position
- Available to start from September 2020 (or sooner depending on the mandatory school closures)
School
The school received ‘Good’ at its last Ofsted in 2018 and last year received above 60% in the SATs across the entire school. Numeracy is a subject which KS1 struggle with and the school are looking for a teacher who is confident in delivering numeracy to Year 2 pupils. The school have roughly 390 pupils and have a small amount of SEN pupils in school.
Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a variety of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers, such as National Association of SEN, National Autistic Society, Team Teach, Educare, Creative Education, and Leeds Trinity University.
These partners deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities to you, covering areas such as; Accredited Team Teach, Understanding and Supporting Children and Adults on the Autism Spectrum, An Introduction to Special Educational Needs and Disability, Effective Adult Learning Support, Implications for Challenging Behaviour, Meeting the Emotional, Social and Mental Health Needs of Children and Young People, Differentiation, Data Handling, Assessment for Learning, Planning for Progression, Prevent Duty, Read Write Inc. and Child Protection in Education. In addition to this we work alongside many leaders of education and have our own ex-head teacher that provides candidates with bespoke, high-quality training.
