Part-Time SENCo – Didsbury (M20)

Teaching Personnel is excited to announce a unique opportunity for a Part-Time SENCo to join a small secondary and post-16 SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision located in Didsbury. This role offers flexibility, with the requirement of one day per week, tailored to fit the schedule of the ideal candidate. These hours may increase in the future, as this provision develops.

The incoming SENCo will be expected to provide strategic leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the SEN policy and provision within this SEMH setting. They will ensure that all students with SEN have access to a broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum, fostering an inclusive learning environment. This will involved leading the identification, assessment, and monitoring of students with SEN, working closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies as necessary.

Part of this role includes developing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN, setting clear targets and strategies to support their learning and wellbeing. Similarly, the successful applicant may provide training and support to staff on best practices in SEN provision, differentiation, and effective strategies for supporting students with SEMH needs.

This provision are seeking an FQT with SEN and SEMH experience. The successful applicant will receive a comparative daily rate pro-rata based on the M1-UPS3 scale, paid weekly through PAYE, with no agency fees or umbrella company deductions. This role offers a September start following a thorough interview process with the school’s Headteacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
