Welsh Medium Cover Supervisor Training

This opportunity is ideal for those applicants who are considering a future career in teaching within Welsh Medium. It will allow you to gain the necessary skills and experience for those considering applying to teacher training courses. This position is also perfect for candidates who are looking for flexible work, alongside another role or current course due to flexible working hours, we will look to place you on a shadowing day with an experienced cover supervisor or Teacher to develop and identify further skills and tips.

Cover Supervisor role will include class management, maintaining the standards of behaviour and ensuring that the work left by the teacher is being completed.

Start Date: Once Trained and Confident 

Competitive pay rate depending on previous experience.

Secondary Schools in Cardiff & Vale

Once trained, as a cover supervisor, you will be expected to cover pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers across different subject areas. The educator will also be expected to manage behaviour and ensure all tasks are completed by all pupils.

Skills required:

  • Understanding of educational principles and practises
  • Familiarity with classroom management techniques
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of different students.
  • Proficiency in using relevant technology and software.
  • Willingness to shadow in different schools.

Applicants will ideally have previous experience working within education however, any transferrable skills and confidence to work with children and young people will be considered.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
