Job description

Job Title: 1:1 Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Danbury

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide individualised tutoring in KS3 English and Maths subjects
  • Create tailored lesson plans to meet the specific needs of each student
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in teaching KS3 English and Maths
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt teaching strategies

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in teaching KS3 English and Maths

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep understanding of KS3 curriculum and teaching methods
  • Proficiency in assessing student learning needs
  • Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a home setting
  • Full-time hours
  • May require travel to student homes or other locations for tutoring sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
