Teaching Personnel have been approached by a Keighley Primary School (BD21) who are looking to recruit a passionate, creative and well-motivated class teacher. The role will be based in a year 1 class and will be for a full academic year. The school are looking for a dedicated and hard-working Year 1 Teacher to join their close-knit team to work full-time (5 days per week) until April 2022, with the possibility of a permanent role. This role is to cover a long-term ‘gap in staffing’ however the Head has mentioned that due to staffing restructures there may be an opportunity for a permanent role at the end of the placement. The school is a large two-form entry school. The successful candidate will be working alongside an experienced year 1 teacher, with planning shared between the two teachers. The school uses the Letters & Sounds Phonics scheme, experience delivering this would be desirable but not essential.

This Keighley school (BD21) was recently graded as GOOD during a full Ofsted inspection in 2019 and the Head is fully committed to the school, with the staff reflecting the same message. Due to the recent school closures, with the class missing a full-term of their EYFS curriculum & the disruption the class has faced due to staff absences, the school are doing everything they can to ensure each child reaches their maximum potential and achieves the best results they can. The Headteacher is committed to ensuring every child in the class receives the right support. There is an experienced Teaching Assistant in the class who is well organised and will work well alongside the successful applicant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
