Supply Teacher – Stockport/Trafford/South Manchester areas needed
Teaching Personnel are currently looking to register several Supply Teachers who are flexible within their work schedule and are able to travel easily between South Manchester/Stockport/Trafford ideally by car. If you are looking for either part-time or full-time work within schools and can easily travel across south Manchester then we would like to here from you.
The role of a Supply Teacher is to cover classes in a range of school subjects whenever the class teacher cannot be there. If you have QTS in a specific subject then this would be beneficial and we could utilize this skillset by providing you with subject specific work as and when it comes up. If you are happy to provide schools with general cover across all subjects however then all the work will be prepared in advance for you – you simply need to deliver the work to an acceptable standard.
Candidates with QTS are encouraged to apply as this would be an excellent opportunity for ECT’s who are looking for additional experience within schools in order to gain a broader understanding of what it is they are looking from a school for when they eventually accept a permanent position. It would also be a good opportunity for teachers who are looking to retire from a full on teaching role but are still looking for work in a school environment but with slightly less responsibility. If you do not have QTS then we can still find you work as a Cover Supervisor – a scaled back role whereby there is no teaching required, you will simply need to provide behaviour management support within the classroom. Some of the details of pay are listed below.
- Pay with QTS: £120 - £140 per day depending on experience
- Pay without QTS (Cover Supervisor): £85 - £95 per day
- Educators will need to have (or be willing to apply for) a Child Only DBS certificate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
