Pay - GDP65 - GDP90 per day
Experience and Requirements:
- Able to access the Leeds area by means of travel
- Previous experience in KS2 Teaching Assistant role preferred
- Available between Monday-Friday for work
- To be confident in building good working relationships with both pupils and adults
- Great organisational skills in and out the classroom
- Creativity is key
- Passion for working with children
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to manage groups of pupils and deal with sometimes challenging behaviour
- Patience and a sense of humour
Day To Day Activities Will Include:
- Helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records
- Getting the classroom ready for lessons
- Listening to children read, reading to them or telling them stories
- Assisting children who need extra support to complete tasks
- Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
- Supervising group activities
- Lending a hand clearing away materials and equipment after lessons
- Carrying out administrative tasks
