SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Whalley Range | November Start

Teaching Personnel is excited to partner with a highly regarded, inclusive primary school in Whalley Range, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM) starts in November and focuses on delivering personalised support to pupils with Special Educational Needs through one-to-one and small group interventions.

Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, the school is renowned for its nurturing environment and commitment to inclusion. You’ll become part of a supportive and collaborative team that values the vital role of skilled support staff in enhancing pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted SEN support to pupils individually and in small groups
  • Assist teachers with planning and delivering tailored learning activities
  • Support the implementation and regular review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to monitor pupil progress
  • Adapt support approaches to meet the changing needs of pupils

What We’re Looking For

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting learners
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare
  • Level 2 Safeguarding certification, or willingness to complete training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
