SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time (Urmston) | Immediate Start
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a highly respected and inclusive primary school in Urmston to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time role (8:30am – 3:30pm) is available for an immediate start and focuses on providing tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The school has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and prides itself on delivering a broad, balanced curriculum that meets the needs of every learner. You’ll be joining a warm, collaborative team dedicated to helping every child flourish in a nurturing environment.
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing focused support to pupils with SEN, both individually and in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
- Supporting the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Helping to maintain an inclusive, engaging, and safe classroom environment
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support pupil progress
- Monitoring and adapting support based on pupil development
What We’re Looking For:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with young learners
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- Level 2 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to complete training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
