Our client school in Bury, a welcoming mainstream primary setting with a well‑established SEN hub, is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time until the end of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and who can contribute positively to a nurturing, inclusive environment. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, as you will be working closely with children who require consistent, specialist support.
This role is to begin ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored support to pupils within the school’s SEN hub, helping them access learning in a way that meets their individual needs
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo to implement personalised learning strategies and support plans
- Assisting with behaviour regulation, emotional wellbeing and day‑to‑day classroom engagement
- Delivering small‑group or one‑to‑one interventions as directed
- Supporting pupils with communication, social skills and independence
- Contributing to record‑keeping, progress tracking and feedback to staff
- Helping to create a positive, structured and encouraging learning environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or specialist provision
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, adaptable and proactive approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
