SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Salford | November Start

Teaching Personnel is proud to be partnering with a highly regarded and inclusive primary school in Salford, currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from November. This rewarding role runs from 8:30am to 3:30pm, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through tailored one-to-one and small group interventions.

The school has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and is widely recognised for its nurturing ethos and commitment to inclusive education. You’ll be joining a collaborative and welcoming team that values the essential contribution of support staff in pupil development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver focused support to pupils with SEN, both individually and in small groups
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities
• Contribute to the creation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to monitor pupil progress
• Adapt support strategies to meet the evolving needs of learners

What We’re Looking For:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Previous experience working with children with SEN
• A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare
• Level 2 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to complete training)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
