About the Role

Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist SEN school (complex learning needs) in Aylesbury that provides outstanding education for children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
We are seeking a compassionate, patient and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent, term-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive environment and encourage pupils to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and individual learning support.
- Helping pupils with communication, independence and engagement in lessons.
- Providing personal care and support where required.
- Working as part of a friendly, supportive team to create a positive learning environment.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN or ASC, ideally in a specialist or mainstream setting.
- A calm, empathetic, and resilient nature with a genuine passion for helping young people thrive.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Desirable:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
