Learning Support Assistant – High Wycombe (Full Time, ASAP Start)

Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Contract Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:20am – 3:20pm)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £85–£95 per day (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a supportive and inclusive Primary School in High Wycombe who are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for someone passionate about helping children reach their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to assist pupils in their learning, development, and wellbeing across the school.

The Role:

  • Providing classroom support across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 (depending on experience).

  • Supporting individual pupils or small groups to help raise attainment and confidence.

  • Assisting teachers with planning, preparation and classroom organisation.

  • Helping to manage pupil behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes.

  • Contributing to the overall care, wellbeing and progress of all pupils.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting (paid or voluntary).

  • A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

  • Flexibility and a willingness to take initiative in the classroom.

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
