Join Teaching Personnel as a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Starting September 2025
Are you ready for a rewarding full-time role supporting children with special educational needs?
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a range of mainstream and specialist schools across Bolton, Wigan, Warrington, and Salford, and we are recruiting full-time SEN Teaching Assistants for placements starting in September 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs while gaining valuable experience in education.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN, including autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs.

Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCOs to deliver individual support plans.

Support behaviour and emotional regulation throughout the school day.

Assist with daily routines, classroom tasks, and (where required) personal care.
What We’re Looking For:
-
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, residential, youth work, or care backgrounds welcome).

A proactive, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
-
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
-
A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
-
An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
