Teaching Assistant – Year 2 SEN Support | Primary School in Fallowfield | September Start

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working closely with a welcoming primary school in Fallowfield, currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide both small group and 1:1 support for Year 2 pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm) with a September start available.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN needs
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering personalised learning activities
  • Helping to implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Creating an inclusive, positive classroom environment
  • Collaborating with staff and external professionals to support holistic pupil development

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative, team-focused attitude
  • A Level 2 Safeguarding certificate (or willingness to complete one—training can be provided)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
