If you are a Level 3 (or higher) trained Teaching Assistant with SEN experience lookign for an exciting new role at our client school in Ashton please get in touch today. Teaching Personnel are working with a mainstream primary school in Ashton, Tameside who are looking for a SEN teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child currently showing traits of Autism with communication difficulties in Year 1. The child is working much lower than age related expectations and does require constant support and encouragement to enable them to access the curriculum.
As part of the role you will be expected to;
- Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO on the child's progress and plans around specific learning and development
- Working from a visual daily timetable to ensure the child is aware of their next steps each day
- Be flexible and adaptable to to suits the ever changing needs of the child
- Be creative and engaging to be working towards the best possible learning outcomes for the pupil
