The School:

A Primary Aged Pupil Referral Unit in Cardiff are seeking to hire a number of enthusiastic and ambitious Teaching Assistants to support within their KS2 site in Cardiff. This position has arisen due to an increase in pupil numbers and therefore requires more staff to support within the classroom and will be likely to continue for the academic year.

This school caters for young people aged 5 - 11 who have been excluded from mainstream school due to a social, emotional or mental health need. This is a challenging setting that requires a strong willed and confident teaching assistant who is capable of managing challenging behaviour. A team - teach qualification is desirable but not essential as Teaching Personnel run fully accredited 12 hour courses each half term.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will;

  • Be passionate about developing the social and emotional development of young people
  • Have an awareness of the Primary Curriculum and be able to support across all subjects
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting or non-educational

Ideally, the Teaching Assistant will have a DBS on the update service to allow for an immediate start. If you would like to be considered for this role, please get in touch at your earliest convenience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
