Job description

Job Title: Maths and English 1:1 Tutor

Location:

East of England, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough

Salary:

£25.00 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 tutoring sessions in Maths and English
  • Create tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Offer feedback and support to help students improve their understanding and skills
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in Maths, English, or Education
  • Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS)
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching Maths and English

Education:

Degree in Maths, English, or Education

Experience:

Experience in tutoring or teaching Maths and English

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Maths and English curriculum
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience and empathy in working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or teaching English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
