Job Title: SEN 1:1 Tutor

Location:

East of England, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough

Salary:

£25.00 Per hour

Job Description:

The SEN 1:1 Tutor will be responsible for providing individualised support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The primary focus will be on delivering tailored teaching sessions to address the specific learning needs of each student. The role will involve creating and implementing personalised learning plans, monitoring progress, and adapting teaching methods to suit the individual requirements of the student.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver one-to-one teaching sessions to students with SEN
  • Create and implement personalised learning plans based on individual needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to help students achieve academic goals
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and learning outcomes

Required Qualifications:

  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and individual learning styles

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

At least 1 years of UK experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialist qualification in SEN teaching
  • Experience using assistive technology in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
