Teaching Personnel are proud to be an approved provider to a College Trust in the Cambridgeshire area. We are working together to recruit for a Forklift Trainer Assessor, to start from May on a full time, permanent basis. we are looking for someone to lead on the delivery of public relations, corporate communications, and social media for the college. To support the delivery of the college marketing strategy and the wider marketing team’s deliverables.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working with the Director and team develops the College’s PR & Communications Strategy; seeking to build the College’s profile in the region, nationally, internationally, commercially and amongst relevant trade sectors.
- Pro-actively works to uncover and promote the work, activities and successes of departments and functions across the College of staff, students and alumni.
- Gathers, builds and maintains a library of case studies from current and former students and employers including testimonials, photos and videos.
- Actively researches stories for press releases and liaises with local, regional and international media.
- Pro-actively manages media relations and builds effective media contact database, cultivating positive media relations to improve the College’s profile and maximise exposure in local, regional, national and international media.
- Actively approaches media to provide a local angle to national news stories and sell-in stories and feature opportunities to press, radio and TV outlets.
- Leads on coordinating PR and Communication campaigns to take full advantage of national initiatives eg Apprenticeship Week, Adult Learners Week.
Requirements for the role:
- Minimum a Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject, companied with a minimum Bachelors degree in PR, Marketing or Communications or any other relevant subject.
- At least 3 years’ PR experience with experience in a relevant Marketing environment, and of writing press releases and liaison with the press, with proven track record.
- Experience of senior stakeholder management and liaison – internal and external, as well as Social Media Management.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
