Join a Supportive Secondary School in Durham – Learning Support Assistant Role (September 2025 Start)
Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Do you have strong communication skills and a calm, reliable nature that helps students feel supported and understood?
We’re looking for a dedicated individual to join a welcoming secondary school in Durham this September. In this role, you’ll provide 1:1 support to students with special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and thrive in a structured, inclusive environment.
About the Role:
- Support a student (or students) on a 1:1 or small groups basis.
- Assist with classroom activities under the guidance of the teaching team
- Help students who require support with moving and handling
- Be an active, positive part of the wider school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
