Primary School Behaviour Support Worker – Full Time (Pentre, CF41)

£89.38 per day (£13.75 per hour)

Are you a calm, patient, and caring individual who is passionate about supporting children in a primary school setting? One of our partner primary schools in Pentre (CF41), Rhondda Cynon Taf, is looking for a full-time Behaviour Support Worker to join their team and make a positive impact in the classroom.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Support Worker in a primary setting, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural challenges and additional learning needs (e.g. Autism, ADHD)
• Assist in managing classroom behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
• Work closely with class teachers and the school’s ALNCo to implement personalised support plans
• Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, helping them build confidence and resilience
• Encourage engagement in learning and promote inclusion within the classroom

Who We’re Looking For:

Ideal candidates will:
• Have a genuine interest in working with primary-aged children with behavioural needs
• Be calm under pressure, consistent, and able to build strong relationships with pupils
• Be proactive and able to adapt support based on individual needs
• Have experience in education, childcare, youth work, or similar (desirable but not essential)

Requirements:

We can support you in obtaining the following if needed:
• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
• Enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the Update Service)
• Two recent, relevant references (covering the past two years)
