Full-Time Support Worker (Unqualified) – Primary School | Ferndale
£89.38 per day (equivalent to £13.75 per hour)
Full Academic Year | Primary School Setting

Are you a supportive, reliable individual who loves working with children and wants to kick-start a career in education? A warm and inclusive partner primary school in Ferndale is seeking a Support Worker to join their team full-time for the upcoming academic year.

No qualifications required – just a positive mindset and a genuine interest in helping children thrive!


About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in the classroom by:

  • Supporting the teacher with daily learning activities
  • Providing targeted help to pupils with additional needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD)
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Offering one-to-one and small group support when needed

Who We’re Looking For:

We’re open to individuals who:

  • Are caring, patient, and great with children
  • Bring transferable skills from sectors like care, youth work, hospitality, or customer service
  • Want to break into education and gain experience in a school setting

✅ What You’ll Need (Don’t worry—we’ll guide you through it!):

  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Two professional references from the last 24 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
