GEOGRAPHY TEACHER

Our client Secondary school in Sheffield are looking for a Geography teacher to cover an upcoming maternity leave. Commencing in April this Geography maternity cover will continue until at least Ester 2019 with the potential to carry on for the remainder of the next academic year.

The school are ideally looking for a Geographer to take on this post full time but do have the capacity within the Humanities department to take on the appointed Geography teacher part time.

Most recently it achieved 'Good with Outstanding features ' Ofsted grading in there latest inspection making this an attractive place to teach. You will be delivering Geography across KS3 and GCSE Level so will need to have previous experience of this.
Students achieve outstanding results academically with 74% of students achieving an A*-C grade in both English and Mathematics. You will be working within a supportive and high performing Humanities department so you will be expected to undertake regular student assessment and conduct your own planning and marking.

Located close to the centre of Sheffield the school is easily accessible via both public and private transport. A modern new build the school has outstanding state of the art facilities and recent technology enhancing student's learning experience and teaching methods.


Highlights of this Geography teaching position;

* Pay dependant on experience form £100-£155 per day dependent upon experience
* Long term Geography maternity cover until May half term

* Teaching Geography to high achieving students
