Full Time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Required | BN1

Job description

We are currently working closely with a school based in central Brighton that are looking for a full time 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work alongside a pupil in Y6 who has extremely challenging behaviour. This behaviour is due to the pupils complex autism. The behaviour usually arises when they get frustrated if they don't understand the work that has been set or can't do it.

The position is to start on the 25th April and is to work until the end of the academic year with this specific pupil. The school have requested that the ideal candidate will have experience working with pupil's who have complex special educational needs, bad behaviour and experience within Y6 as you will need to know the curriculum. The school has a brand new SEN unit which is equipped with a sensory room. You will have full access to the unit in case the pupil does get to aggressive. The school are willing to pay between £60 - £68 per day due to the nature of this role.
