Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist
Location: Cranborne, Dorset
Salary: £47,736 – £65,270.40 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and qualified Psychologist (Clinical, Forensic, or Counselling) to join a vibrant and collaborative multidisciplinary team at a specialist independent school in Cranborne, Dorset.
Set within a stunning 16-acre listed garden and part of a wider 50-acre countryside campus, this school provides an exceptional working environment. The school supports young people aged 11–16 with a range of additional learning needs, including autism, through high-quality education and integrated therapy.

The Role:
As a Psychologist, you will:
- Deliver specialist psychological assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions (individual and group).
- Provide psychological insight and strategies to support young people’s emotional, cognitive, and behavioural development.
- Collaborate as part of a well-established multidisciplinary team (MDT), including Psychiatry, Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy.
- Offer guidance and training to staff to promote understanding of complex needs and support greater independence among students.
- Supervise Assistant Psychologists and contribute to service development within a forward-thinking clinical setting.

- HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical, Forensic, or Counselling)
- Doctorate-level qualification in Psychology
- Experience supporting neurodivergent young people, particularly those with autism
- Committed to upholding the dignity, choice, and individuality of students
- Able to develop strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues across education and care settings
