SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs?

A highly respected specialist school in Poole is seeking enthusiastic and reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2025.

This full-time role involves working with students aged 5 to 18, across a broad spectrum of needs, including complex learning difficulties, autism, communication challenges, and those accessing alternative provision.

 

About the Role:

  • Support students with a wide range of additional needs in both classroom and small group settings

  • Encourage engagement, independence, and emotional development

  • Assist in delivering adapted learning activities suited to individual EHCPs

  • Help maintain a safe, positive, and structured learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
